Deputy Chapter Assembly Director, Amy Wallace
Amy Wallace is the Head of Public Services and Outreach at California State University, Channel Islands. She also holds the rank of Associate Librarian and teaches courses for the library, critical thinking, and liberal studies programs. She serves as the co-chair of the General Education Committee and as a member of the Faculty Affairs, General Education Assessment, and Campus Accreditation Steering committees. Amy has a BA in History from San Diego State University and a MLIS from San Jose State University. Her research interests include information literacy, library instruction, classroom design, and academic technologies.
Amy has been active in ASIS&T since 1998. Over the years she has held a number of key leadership positions in the Los Angeles Chapter (LACASIS), including chair, program chair, nominations chair, publicity, and awards chair. She has twice chaired the LACASIS Fall Workshop committee and has served for a number of years on the McKinley Student Scholarship committee. In 2003 she received the James M. Cretsos Leadership Award, and looks forward to serving as a member of that awards committee this year.
