Who will be speaking at this years Summit?
The RDAP 2013 lineup will be announced in late January. All updates will be listed on our Program page –please check there for more information.
How do I register? Where is the conference being held?
Registration is now open on our website. (Print registration forms may be found at the same link.) Information about the conference location (including how to book a hotel room at the meeting rate) can also be found on our location page.
I can’t make it to the Summit. Will slideshows/videos of the sessions be released? Can I follow the meeting via Twitter?
Slides will be posted to the ASIS&T Slideshare account and videos of the sessions will be posted to the ASIS&T SIG-DL YouTube channel in the months following the Summit. You can participate remotely the meeting by following RDAP on Twitter (@RDAPsummit) or by tracking the conference hashtag, #rdap13.
Do I get a discounted registration rate?
We are pleased to be able to offer a discounted registration rate to our panel presenters. Check out the RDAP registration page for more information.
Are there style requirements for my Powerpoint presentation or handouts?
Powerpoint slides (or any other visual aides) are not required. We suggest that those who wish to use slides use the RDAP13 Powerpoint template. Handouts are welcome and do not require any special formatting. Please send your slides (in .ppt format) to Misty Weaver (mweaver AT asis DOT org) no later than 8 am 4 April 2013. We also encourage presenters to upload their slides to their institutional repository–submit your link via this Google spreadsheet.
What will my panel’s format be like? How long should my presentation be?
Each panel will be 1.5 hours total in length and feature three speakers. Each speaker will have time for a 20 minute presentation. At the end of all three presentations, there will be a 30 minute question and answer session.
Do I get a discounted registration rate?
At this time, we are unable to offer the “speaker” registration rate to poster presenters.
Are there style requirements for my poster?
The only style requirement for posters is a limit on size: posters should measure no larger than 4’ x 8’ (horizontal).

What do I need to know about presenting my Lightning Talk?
Lightning Talks are quick presentations limited to five minutes in length. (We’re serious! No more than 5 minutes per talk will be allowed, so be sure to rehearse your timing before your talk.) Some presenters use slideshows, others don’t. The only “must” is: be dynamic! See this guide to Giving a Good Lightning Talk.
