ASIS&T Online Membership Benefits


As you look at the ASIS&T website, you will notice a Member "sign in" on each page.  Signing in allows you to access the ASIS&T Digital Library, search the membership database, view chapter and/or SIG rosters, or view and edit the "Member Profile" information.  
 

Digital Library

The digital library (dl) is where you will find your membership publications online:  Bulletin, JASIST, ARIST, and Annual Meeting proceedings.  To access the dl, simply sign in to the ASIS&T site (look for sign in on each page) and click OK.  Look at the left hand navigation buttons and you'll see Digital Library in red.  Click this and you're in the ASIS&T Digital Library (at John Wiley & Sons).  For more information on our digital library, click here.
 

Membership Database Access

Members are able to locate others with interests and expertise in the areas they wish. ASIS&T, SIGs and Chapters will also use this information to plan better programs and services. 
 

Webinars

Members have free access to Webinars, your source for online live and on-demand content, created by the Association for Information Science & Technology. Our webinars connect you with experts and global thought leaders in information science, management, and business on relevant professional issues. 
 

Edit Your Membership Profile

Keep your work, home, billing and shipping addresses up to date here.  If you scroll down, you will see a section labeled "Just for the Web".  This information is part of an online member directory, so we want all ASIS&T members to login and update their information.  This will allow you to decide what information will be provided -- to other ASIS&T members!
 

Interests and Expertise

Another part of your profile includes a section labeled "Interests and Expertise".  Members are able to locate others with interests and expertise in the areas they wish.  ASIS&T, SIGs and Chapters will also use this information to plan better programs and services. 


Chapter and SIG Rosters

If you are a chapter or SIG officer, you will want access to your chapter and sig membership to better server them.  If you log in to the ASIS&T web site and don't see this option, please contact us and we'll give you online access to rosters and updates.


It's Easy to Log In!

To log in, go to www.asis.org and enter your User Name and password.  You will be thanked for logging in. Click on OK and you will go to a membership page where you can update your Membership Profile  (in the left hand column). 

Sign In Format
Your User Name is the first initial of your first name and your last name, in lower case.  Your password is your 6 digit ASIS&T member number.  

Example for Jane Doe:

User Name:  jdoe
Password:  123456

You will be able to change your user name and/or password.  If you don't know your member number or your login isn't working, please contact us.
