Panelists in this session will discuss and elaborate on the need for built-in intervention agents in new information systems designed for students who are engaged in inquiry-based learning (IBL). The possibility of creating intelligent systems that can include intervention agents to reduce uncertainty during the information-seeking process and to assist students through their IBL projects will be discussed.
