This submission describes a proposal for the 7th Annual Social Informatics Research Symposium, a post-conference workshop to be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 8:30-12:30 PM. This year’s symposium will include the presentation of research papers and a panel discussion on one avenue for continued development of social informatics, the large-scale funded team-based social informatics research.
