PUBLICATIONS AGREEMENT Under U.S. Law, the transfer of copyright from the author should be explicitly stated in writing to enable the publisher to disseminate the author's work to the fullest extent. Please complete a copy of the Publication Agreement. Please note that if the manuscript was a work made for hire, this agreement must be signed by the employer, as author. A. The author transfers to ASIS the exclusive rights comprised in the copyright of the paper, if the paper is accepted for publication, except that the author retains the following: 1. All proprietary rights, other than copyright, such as patent rights. 2. The right to make copies of all or part of the work for the author's use in classroom teaching. 3. The right to make copies of all or part of the work for internal distribution within the institution which employs the author. 4. The right to use figures and tables from the work, and up to 250 words of text, for any purpose. 5. The right to make oral presentation of the material in any forum. In the case of work prepared under U.S. Government contract, the U.S. Government may reproduce, royalty-free, all or portions of the article and may authorize others to do so, for official U.S. Government purposes only, if the contract so requires. B. The author warrants that the manuscript is the author's original work. If the work was prepared jointly, the author agrees to inform co-authors of the terms of this agreement, It is submitted only to this publisher, and has not been published before. (If excerpts from copyrighted works are included, the author will obtain written permission from the copyright owners and show credit to the sources in the manuscript.) The author also warrants that the article contains no libelous or unlawful statements, and does not infringe on the rights of others.
