SIG's Contribution to ASIS
Annual Conference 1999
SIG Management contributes with two panels to the ASIS Annual Conference
1999 that is devoted to knowledge management. Kris Liberman organized a
panel that will discuss problems and opportunities of knowledge management
in corporate information centers and their home organizations. The other
panel is was put together by Bob Travica with the objective of exploring
the management of knowledge in the virtual organization -- virtual corporation,
virtual library, and virtual team. Panelists invited for each panel are
prominent professionals and scholars that stand at the forefront of
practice and research.
SIG Activists Sought!
SIG Management is looking for SIG members that want to contribute more
actively to SIG activities. In particular, needed are:
-- Editor of the Newsletter
-- members of the Programming
Committee (defines topics for SIG's panels, etc.)
-- candidates for the Chair-Elect
position in the Oct. 1999-Oct. 2000 mandate
-- folks with fresh, new
ideas about the content of SIG's activities
