Mission and Purpose of the Library Technologies SIG (SIG-LT)


SIG-LT focuses on the analysis, planning, management, and use of technology and standards in library operations. Its members are concerned with:

  • Enhancing the quality and availability of information for library users;
  • Managing library workflows;
  • Fostering communication and information sharing among libraries;
  • Facilitating relationships between libraries and other information providers, including publishers of bibliographic databases, abstracting and indexing services, and developers of commercial integrated library systems.
