Find an existing local group Local information architecture groups are being established in the U.S. and throughout the world. Groups host social and networking events, offer programs featuring guest speakers, and promote other learning and development activities. Local groups are independently organized. Some groups may choose to become affiliated as forums with the local ASIS chapters. This excellent list of local IA groups is provided by Argus-ACIA. Argus lists professional associations, and contacts for individuals who wish to start IA communities in their home areas. Local groups considering national affiliation ASIST's Dick Hill has issued an invitation to local IA groups to consider Forum membership in association with ASIST Starting a new group? A mailing list has also now been created to help people share information on starting and managing local IA groups. And please let us know so we can list you here eventually. |
