Session for the Mid-Year Meeting
Barbara Kwasnik proposed a session on the role of representation and
classification in information privacy, integrity, and data security. She
will look into the possibility of cooperating with other SIGs on this
topic area.

8th Classification Research Workshop
There was some discussion in assigning a specific theme for the
Workshop,
such as Social Construction of Classification. This was not adopted as
potentially restricting participation to the workshop.
The possibility of providing for greater levels of audience
participation during the workshop perhaps by using discussants and
arranging for a formal lunch for participants together in one place was
also suggested.
Another idea was to allow time for a wrap up at the end of the
workshop.
