Arrange things too logically and people are led down very narrow paths, leaving little opportunity to explore.
If stores were perfectly categorized, how would people make impulse purchases?
How would they learn about things that they didn’t come to the site to find?
Even if new features are ‘highlighted on the homepage’, people may be too task focused to even notice.
