is a presentation consisting mainly of video segments culled from interviews with
leaders in the interactive design community. The presentation lasts about 45 minutes,
27 minutes of which is video. It provides a great change of pace from the usual
conference presentation format. The presentation addresses the theme "making
connections" in terms of connections among different types of designers and
among team members. We've attached some sample screen grabs from the rough cut
of the presentation and video. Description: Visual designers complain that they've
been reduced to "coloring in the boxes" on page schematics. Information
architects suspect that graphic designers care more about looking cool than serving
the needs of users. Why do these two groups, who have so much in common, so often
find themselves at odds? What exactly are the friction points between information
architects and visual designers? Where is the line between "creative tension"
