hong cui, chunshui yu and james macklin

(Submission #3)

Semantic annotation of biodiversity literature has been shown to improve information retrieval performance and user satisfaction level. While further research is needed, our collaborative research with biosystematics publishers suggest this technique also promises improved efficiency and effectiveness in automated quality insurance of biosysematics publishing, such as dealing with most time-consuming task of checking for redundant information, ensuring parallelism, ensuring consistent usage of terminology, and semantic annotation of descriptions for automated generation of identification keys.
