Summary

Information representation and organization is a field that presents key foundation elements for the field of information science. This case study explores overlaps in the conceptual organization of the field of information organization among textbook, teacher and learner. It relates the lessons learned to the use of the technique as a tool for teaching and learning, for structural analysis, and as a model for textbook design.
