Abstract
Tagging, user defined/supplied descriptors, and social bookmarking is changing the way users organize, find, and use web information. We can learn much about our users by examining their tagging and social bookmarking practices. These new information realities need further research and discussion. The proposed poster session will generate discussion and formulate a research and curricular agenda to explore the potentials of tagging, user-defined/supplied descriptors, and social bookmarking.
