Abstract

This panel will discuss research on the creation and use of metadata and ontologies in different contexts and applications: • User-submitted metadata and their reactions to the metadata capture process • Analysis of query logs focusing on object metadata, semantic & linguistic patterns, and its implication on learning object content and metadata design and development. • The process of building an ontology for fire service video clips for the purposes of training and assessment • The impact of content and learning management systems on design and use of DL
