The Varieties of E-Community Experiences Overview A growing number of organizations are using software such as Listserve, Majordomo and Listproc to setup electronic discussion groups among
their members. Such groups can play a key role in enhancing communication, promoting discussion, and eliciting input. Setting up and managing such groups, though, can also pose a number of unexpected challenges. In this
special leadership development session speakers will provide an overview of the pitfalls and possibilities inherent in these new communication tools. All conference attendees are invited to join us for this free session
and SIG and chapter leaders are especially encouraged to attend. Advance registration is requested. You Will Learn About
- The ins and outs of electronic discussion groups;
- When and how you should "moderate";
- What to do about light traffic.
