Karen Marsh, Associate Librarian, University of Cincinnati Medical Center's Academic Information Technology and Libraries. In addition to her work in Tbilisi this summer, she has worked with the Moscow State University Faculty of Basic Medicine over the past few years.
Karen was selected to co-direct the National Information Learning Center in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, from April-August 1997. The NILC is a center that provides medical resources, including Internet and other electronic resources, to members of the health community on a cost-recovery basis. Hospitality and business are inextricably intertwined, with a business relationship rarely remaining simply business. The Georgian culture, with the great pride of surviving years of oppression, gives business a thrilling energy and pace. Karen will describe her experience with the culture, the business, and, the tradition of the Georgian Table.
