This presentation will highlight several research projects on testing records management solutions for the preservation of electronic records. XML tools, standards & strategies will be discussed.

About the Speaker:
Richard Marciano is a research scientist in the Enabling Technologies Group at the San Diego Supercomputer Center at e UC San Diego. He holds advanced degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Avionics Engineering. He is a principal investigator on an XML-based project that looks at long-term preservation of electronic documents, as well as developing infrastructure to support persistent archives.
