LACASIS Workshop 2000
The New Basics: Tools You Can Use

Name: Carla Owens
Title: Director, Information & Research Group, Boston Consulting Group
Title of Presentation: Negotiating Global Content Contracts
Abstract of Presentation:
How much is content worth? What is the most cost effective manner of delivery? It depends. It depends on a whole slew of factors that may not be clear, and if you donŐt know to ask the question, you may not find out! The information industry is undergoing rapid consolidation to a small number of firms due to mergers and acquisitions. What does this mean for us as customers? These questions and mounting frustrations will be explored.

About the Speaker:

With her switch to special libraries to manage the library at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., a general management consulting firm, she went on to establish 2 corporate libraries and their teams at other companies.
