American Society for Information Science
Drexel Student Chapter

ASIS, the American Society for Information Science, is an organization of more than 4,000 information specialists that for over 55 years has had as its mission to advance information professionals and the field of information science. In pursuing this, ASIS is the only professional society that bridges the gap between different disciplines by serving the diverse needs of researchers, developers and end users and by meeting the challenges which arise from utilizing emerging technologies and applications. 


The Drexel University Student Chapter is sponsored by the College of Information Sciences, and is affiliated with the Delaware Valley Professional Chapter. The student chapter is dedicated to:

Membership forms are available in the IST placement office lobby, or from the officers. Before mailing in the form and $30 student membership fee, it must be signed by Professor Kate McCain, advisor to the Drexel Chapter. Her office is 409 in the Rush Bldg.
