ASIS Excellence in Writing Award 1996


The Drexel and Delaware Valley Chapters of The American Society for Information Science are pleased to present their annual Excellence in Writing Award to :


M. Elizabeth Graham

for her paper 

Review of the Literature: 
Information Brokers


A native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Ms. Graham has lived in San Francisco since 1970. Her professional interests are archiving and historical research; she is a member of the American Historical Association, the Society of American Archivists, and the Special Libraries Association (Development Committee, SF-Chapter). 

While working toward her B.A. in History at San Francisco State University in 1987, Ms. Graham arranged the Sir Jos. Banks collection at the California State Library - Sutro Branch, San Francisco. She received her M.S. from Drexel University's College of Information Science and Technology in 1996. Her studies at Drexel included an internship at the Urban Archives, Temple University. 

Prior to launching her second career, Ms. Graham worked as a secretary for over 25 years in business, legal, non-profit and academic settings. Currently she is Assistant Librarian at the California Historical Society, San Francisco. 

The ASIS Excellence in Writing Award honors excellence in student research and writing in the field of Information Science and is open to all graduate and undergraduate students in Drexel's College of Information Science and Technology. ASIS hopes you will join us in congratulating Ms. Graham on her achievement and in wishing her continued success.
