Mr. Bauer described the background and range of OhioLINK’s geospatial initiatives, and presented a live demonstration of Web-based mapping services on the eve of their public debut.

OhioLINK is building a reservoir of electronic full text of journal literature. This is being done by contracting directly with publishers for the rights to load full text and make it fully accessible to the OhioLINK consortium members without copyright restrictions. Currently, electronic journal titles are available from three publishers totaling more than 1,300 titles. OhioLINK is also seeking to increase access to this literature by creating multiple links from the catalogs and the index and abstract databases. The presentation will cover a full description of the EJC and an online demonstration of its features.
