Nominations for the 1997 ASIS/DVC Chapter Achievement Award are being accepted in writing until October 15, 1996.
The award was instituted in 1993 by ASIS/DVC to honor outstanding professionals whose contributions have been notable, either nationally or locally, in the field of information. The scope of the contribution can be broad, from a single noteworthy accomplishment to career-long service; to ASIS in particular or the field of information; locally at the ASIS/DVC level or nationally or internationally.

Bonnie Lawlor, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Library Division of UMI, was selected for the DVC Achievement Award because of her many contributions to the Delaware Valley information industry, her leadership roles in many organizations --including the Pensylvania Library Network(PALINET), the National Federation of Abstracting and Information Services (NFAIS), the American Chenical Society Chenical Information Publications Committee, and, of course, ASIS--at the local and national levels, and her professional work at ISI and Advanced Research Technology.
