The editor of JELIS is seeking submissions from authors with an interest in this topic. In conjunction with International Library Perspectives Special Interest Group of ALISE these papers will be prepared for a special edition of JELIS in 2015. Full papers prepared for the ALISE ’15 conference will be considered.
Papers are sought that discuss attempts to resolve pedagogical challenges in a rapidly evolving international information landscape, the impact of changes in student profiles and their career paths, and curriculum development in an evolving international online environment. Papers that provide descriptive overviews of LIS education in country or regional settings are also welcome.
When preparing papers authors should provide context for the initiatives they are discussing in terms of educational funding, student cohort, size and scope of programs etc. in order that content has appeal to international readers who may not be familiar with LIS education in other regions.
